http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/laws/directory.html

This site, from Tennessee.gov, the official web site of the state of Tennessee, is divided up into four main categories:  Family, Property, Employment, and Crime & Safety.  Each category covers different areas of law, and for each area there is specific legal information provided as well as links to legal sources where actual laws can be found.  Under the category Family, Marriage and Divorce, for example, is an area of law covered, and the Minimum Age for marriage is included, there is information on marriage licenses, and on license fees, as well as information on waiting periods.  Under the area of Children, one of the helpful links is to Rules and Guidelines where among other rules are the Tennessee Child Support Guidelines.  Under Crime & Safety, under the area of Juvenile law, there is a helpful FAQ that inlcudes an answer to the often-asked question, “What is the legal age for kids to stay home alone?” Much information is provided for each area of law under each main category.   For anyone who is doing legal research, or who is seeking answers to legal questions, this is a site that will have authoritative legal information and should be very helpful.

FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Cards

From Audrey May (LINC):

www.familywize.com

“There is a new prescription drug discount card called FamilyWize.  United Way is helping distribute them nationwide, and many chain and independent pharmacies honor them.  Believe it or not, there is no cost for the card and there are no eligibility or enrollment requirements.  You just get a card or print one from the internet, take it to a participating pharmacy (and yes, lots of our area pharmacies are participating) and show the card.  It covers FDA approved brand and generic prescription drugs.  Mail-order drugs are not included.  Only one card is needed per household.  You can check the ‘participating pharmacies’ link to see the list of participating pharmacies by zip code.

“While they advertise that ‘You will save an average of 8 times out of 10 over the pharmacy’s retail price,’ be aware that ‘Your cost for medication will be the discount price offered through this program, or the pharmacy’s usual and customary retail price, whichever is lower. This means you are assured the lowest price in that store, at the time you purchase the medication. If the pharmacy’s price is lower, there is no savings or discount.'”
