CBS News ran a story about this web-based genetic testing service that provides a complete genetic profile to customers who supply a saliva sample. The profile will show an individual’s inherited traits, ancestry, and possible potential disease risks, such as breast cancer.  The name comes from the 23 chromosomes that make up each person’s genome.  It is not a free service; the price tag was given as $1000 dollars, in the CBS News story, but one of the founders of the service said that technology costs should drop.
