Making of America (MOA) is a digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection is made up of the digitized pages of books and journals and users of the collection can view the scanned images of the actual pages of the 19th century works. With funding by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Making of America is currently being produced as a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan and Cornell University.
